About the Founder

Where it all began
At fourteen, I built my first website from raw HTML, experimenting with structure, palette, and visual rhythm long before I understood the language of branding or interiors. Design, for me, was never surface. It was placement and intention—a fundamental understanding that every element contributes to a cohesive, meaningful experience. This early exploration laid the groundwork for a lifelong passion in crafting environments that feel intuitively right.
Welcome to Raincoast Collections Interiors, where design is about more than just aesthetics—it's about crafting spaces that deeply resonate with your life. Discover the inspiration and philosophy that shapes our approach to "Thoughtful Living."

Finding light in unexpected places
My younger adult years carried me north — into darker landscapes and long winters where night lingered and colour appeared in unexpected ways. I fell in love with the northern lights — how brilliance could emerge from vast darkness, how movement and hue could feel almost spiritual against a black sky. Even there, I was studying colour, contrast, atmosphere, learning how profound beauty can arise from the simplest, most natural elements. This experience profoundly influenced my belief in transformative design.

But the ocean of Vancouver Island always called me home.
Eventually, I listened.
Returning to the coast marked a shift — a reclamation of direction and creative clarity. I founded a graphic design and marketing company, shaping brand identities and campaigns with a renewed sense of purpose. I later led the rebrand and spatial expansion of a sustainable coastal boutique, curating local clothing, ceramics, beauty, and art while refining the atmosphere of the space itself. Brand and interior began to merge.
Then came a darker season.
In that stillness, I walked — through fields, wild forests, graveyards, and old churches worn smooth by time. I studied how shadow moves across walls. How flowers decay and return. How tall windows filter light into reverence. I fell in love with the night — with the moon, with contrast, with the depth that darkness gives to colour.
It was not a season I resisted. I could feel myself growing within it. Even in difficulty, there was awareness — a quiet knowing that time would turn, and that what was being formed would one day reveal its purpose.
I came to understand that life itself is a canvas — and home is where love and living begin. It is the truest canvas for our individual happiness. When space lacks intention, alignment, and emotional balance, we feel it. Without that foundation, we cannot fully rise into our potential.
Not painting, but positioning.
Not decoration, but atmosphere.
Colour, placed with intention, steadies a room. It nurtures. It restores. The way a home holds us matters.
Raincoast Collection Interiors is built on that understanding — that design is emotional architecture. That spaces evolve as we do. That contrast — darkness and light — gives depth to both.
Every room is a season.
Every season becomes a story.
"Raincoast Collections Interiors truly understands how to create a space that feels like an extension of you. The attention to detail and commitment to comfort is exceptional."
