Happy birthday — to someone, to something, to a date that continues to glow quietly on my calendar.
I’ve been sitting with words lately. Writing them. Erasing them. Turning them over like small stones in my palm, waiting for the right ones to settle.
Some days they do.
Some days they refuse.
So instead of forcing language to behave, I found myself returning to colour.
Very quietly — almost without announcing itself — a new series began to take shape in the studio. Not loudly. Not all at once. Just small shifts in tone, soft transitions, the slow pull of one hue into the next.
I’ve always believed rainbows are a kind of faith. They don’t arrive on command. They appear when the light is ready — when the atmosphere allows it.
This collection was born in much the same way.
Petal by petal.
Wash by wash.
A study in softness and its shadow.
In the coming days, I’ll begin sharing more from this unfolding body of work — a prismic wildflower story told in quiet colour and careful light.
For now, it feels right to let it emerge slowly.
And somewhere, gently and without expectation —
Happy birthday.
